Whether you have been married for five years or fifty, renewing your wedding vows or civil partnership is a way of remembering why you married the love of your life. 

It may be that when you married, it was a simple affair, and now you want something a little more lavish.  Or maybe you want to involve your children, or grandchildren in the vows and promises you make to each other.

 

Life changing events can also be a catalyst to renew your wedding vows.  Overcoming serious illness or changes to your life circumstances, can prompt thoughts of a 'new beginning'.

 

The vows you want to make now, may be very different to the ones you made on your wedding day.

 

I can create a ceremony that looks back at your married life, where you are now, and where you want to go.  I can weave in your family, your friends, and key moments in your married life together that you want to include.  (The time you left the passports at home on your first foreign holiday is probably best forgotton!)

 

You can have readings, poetry and music that are meaningful to you, and perhaps children might want to talk about mum and dad.  

 

You can write your own vows, or I can write them for you based on what you tell me about eachother. You can re-dedicate your rings, exchange gifts and include rituals like hand fasting or lighting a unity candle.

The ceremony can take place anywhere, you dont have to have a license.  You can also have witnesses to sign your vow renewal certificate, which I will provide.
