Naming Ceremonies
Naming ceremonies are a special way to welcome your child into your family and wider community.
They are an alternative to a christening in a church, but you can still have god parents or 'guide parents' and include members of your family.
A naming ceremony is about mums and dads promising to be the best parents they can be infront of their loved ones. You can write your own promises to your child or we can do it together.

I will tell your family story before inviting you to give your child their chosen name. We can include music, readings and rituals like a wishing tree or a time capsule. There are many poignant things you can do to wlecome your new arrival. This is also a lovely way to welcome an adopted child into the family.
Naming ceremonies are less formal than christenings, but they can still include religious or spiritual content if that's what you'd like. They can also be held almost anywhere.
I'll give you a Naming Ceremony certificate at the end, and send you a souvenir copy of the script.
